Dr. Mario Assouad is a board-certified nephrologist with over 30 years of experience in kidney care and internal medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo, completed his training at the University of Nevada, and pursued his fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Dr. Assouad specializes in treating kidney disease, dialysis patients, and is an expert in managing patients who have recently undergone kidney transplantation. This includes carefully adjusting and monitoring immunosuppressive medications, preventing organ rejection, managing infections, monitoring for metabolic and cardiovascular complications, and providing long-term, comprehensive follow-up to protect and preserve kidney function.
